everything is melting
We've had roughly a week and a half of terrible weather. By terrible weather I mean it's -45C and under out and no one is doing anything unless they must. My locks froze so we couldn't use the front door and the dog refused to go outside unless he absolutely had to. We didn't try to force him of course, he is a small thing and doesn't handle cold very well despite being a ball of fluff.
(I still went to the store to buy chips, because the writing binge I was on required it. But I am young and able to do such nonsense.
Even if I was buried under several layers and waddled like a snowman.)
But now! Now things are getting warmer. It hit 1C today and I went out in a light jacket and scarf. It's wonderful. I am beyond happy that the cold front has ended. To everyone currently going through a cold snap, it sucks, and you feel like you're part of Fingolfin's host crossing the Grinding Ice, but it ends.
Eventually. When it does, nothing is better.
The dog is happy too, his walks are finally coming back.
